The long-awaited opening day finally arrived

Invited guests, media representatives, project participants, art historians, artists, musicians, admirers of Petro Boiko’s work, and of course the artist himself gathered at the Museum of Decorative Arts of Ukraine on Lavrska Street, 9.

The program featured the official opening of the project, an introduction to the concept behind Petro Boiko’s Golden Series, a presentation of the multimedia catalogue My Home – My Chaos, as well as meetings among like-minded people and informal conversation.

The Golden Series

For perhaps the first time in the Ukrainian art scene, an artist’s body of work has been approached with such responsibility and creative vision. The initiative brought together not only art professionals but also lawyers and independent experts.

Together with a professional panel — art historians, gallerists, collectors, curators and legal specialists — Petro Boiko carried out an in-depth revision of his archive, identifying the works that mark key milestones in his artistic evolution.

Some of the works already on display may eventually become part of the Golden Series. The final word rests with the experts. Each selected artwork will be included in a dedicated catalogue and accompanied by an individual Certificate.

The Multimedia Catalogue

Typically, presentations of printed or digital editions involve showcasing a beautifully designed book or screenshots of a digital project — an object that can be purchased in a shop or on a platform. The audience receives a static product, whether printed or digital. Predictable. Conventional.

Мультимедійний каталог

AMEOR proposed something entirely different.

The organizers offer a “key of access” to a dynamic multimedia space that continues to grow over time with new materials and content.

The “Access Key”

It is neither a promo code nor a receipt, nor just a link.

It is a silver case containing a small original artwork by Petro Boiko, a “first day” postcard (with a message from the artist) featuring a thematic postal stamp cancelled by Ukrposhta on the day of issue.

The central element is a commemorative limited-edition bronze coin (medal) with a unique QR code on the reverse, granting access to the online catalogue. The same coin will also serve as an admission pass to all future events by the artist.

This innovative catalogue format drew significant interest from visitors and professionals in the art community.

The live communication with the artist was supplemented by a screening of an interview with Petro Boyko, conducted on the eve of the project's opening, and a short film "Cinema in My Head," filmed in an abandoned clinic. The film, first presented at the exhibition in May 2024, stars people with difficult fates.

My Home...

Dedicated to the landmark exhibition "My Home - My Chaos".

The museum halls were filled with a warm, almost family-like atmosphere — perfectly mirroring the mood of Petro Boiko’s paintings.
