Exhibition of artist Petro Boyko "Honest Naive" at the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art in Kyiv

In June 2023, the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art in Kyiv hosted the exhibition "Honest Naive", dedicated to the work of Ukrainian artist Petro Boyko.

The exhibition presented about twenty new paintings, created in 2022–2023 during the war in Ukraine. Despite the difficult conditions — lack of light and heating, constant air raids — the artist's works are full of optimism and faith in victory. His bright paintings, executed in the style of decorative expressionism, bring smiles to the viewers and give hope.

The lack of materials for painting forced the author to collect the remains of blankets in the local hospital's garbage dump and write his works on them, which distinguishes them as a separate group of his creative heritage.

The exhibition lasted until July 2, 2023.
