NGO Foundation by name Olga Rapai-Markish
The Olga Rapai-Markish Foundation is an organization dedicated to the preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of the outstanding Ukrainian artist Olga Rapai-Markish. The Foundation supports and organizes various cultural events, exhibitions and projects aimed at the revival and restoration of Olga Rapai-Markish's works.
One such project is The Strength of Fragility, which includes an exhibition of ceramic panels by Olga Rapai, as well as a series of events such as lectures, workshops on sculpting, embroidery and restoration. This project was implemented in cooperation with the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art and the Association of Art Critics, Experts, Appraisers and Restorers of Ukraine. The project demonstrates scientific research and restoration work, and also emphasizes the importance of preserving cultural heritage during the war.
The Foundation is also a partner of the "Strength of Roots" project, which presents large ceramic reliefs from the history of Ukraine and a series of ceramic coats of arms of Kyiv's sister cities. It helps remind of Kyiv's support from international friends and promotes cultural exchange.
The main purpose of the foundation's activities is to preserve and popularize the creative heritage of Olga Rapai-Markish, as well as support cultural initiatives aimed at preserving and restoring Ukrainian art.
